March 2023 Update
The last monthly update I posted was back in November and boy-howdy has it been a rollercoaster of a time since then. Of everything that's happened since then, the main drain was my wedding. My wife and I actually got legally married a year ago but couldn't have the ceremony because of the extremely strict measures Japan has taken during the last couple years. Now that travel as resumed, we were able to bring in our friends and family for a wedding ceremony. The whole thing went incredibly well and - to my absolute shock - I was mostly able to keep on top of emails! Anyway, a huge thank-you to everyone that had seen my last Blog Post and sent a kind word or two. Luanna and I really appreciate it!
Now that it’s all behind me, I can finally move on to a long list of pending projects…
Website and Online Store updates
I added a new blurb about the stock level notices in my FAQ Page, explaining what In Stock, In Stock (can be backordered), and Sold Out mean (and why I have them on each product listing). It’s nothing too exciting, but the questions come up often enough that maybe having it explained in my FAQ will help.
As for new stuff, I did a big revision of my DIY Guides Index Page for better organization, quicker loading, and less scrolling. Again, nothing exciting, but the aim is for practicality, not flashy presentation. I also fixed the Navigation bar and menus at the top of the webpages to make them easier to read. The colors had gotten messed up for those during a backend update and made it difficult to read so hopefully it's much easier now.
There were a bunch of little things like product listing fixes, additional clarifications, and some updated pictures added to some products.
I also added a bunch of new products, which I’m keeping in stock at Redpants in the US:

As for me living in Japan, I'm starting to get the hang of things. Although about 90% of my Japanese language ability so far is limited to finding food, alcohol, and toilets, I'm slowly getting more comfortable with life here. Given how hectic life has been for a while, I haven't put too much effort into Redpants Unzipped (yes, it does still exist... somehow). I did make a video for Tokyo Auto Salon, though.
Once I get some momentum going and build some content, I'll spin off the Unzipped stuff to its own YouTube channel. Until then, you might see another video or two about Japan that are unrelated to Aston Martins or possibly even not related to cars at all.
